Art and Artists
Karla Black is a sculptor and installation artist who creates large-scale installations using traditional art materials and some drawn from the everyday world such as make-up and toiletries.
She creates the work in the gallery and it can be quite fragile but also very large, and quite often it smells.
She was nominated for the Turner Prize 2011 and we sent two young people to interview her at BALTIC just before the show opened.
