Roman Lead Shrine
Segedunum is a Roman Fort at Wallsend, at one end of Hadrian's Wall. We sent a group of local children to find out about the place and look at the collection of objects found there. They discover a Roman gadget, a portable lead shrine. Luckily Alex Croom the Keeper of Archaeology at Segedunum was on hand to answer their questions about it.
If you are studying the Romans this short film might give you a better idea about religious beliefs back then.
