Oh What a Lovely War
Northern Stage production of Joan Littlewood's Oh What a Lovely War created by the Theatre Workshop, Charles Chilton, Gerry Raffles and members of the original cast.
Twelve musicians, dancers, singers and clowns play the music and sing all the songs. The show is famous for using the songs of the First World War to tell the story. Some songs were propaganda and others recorded the mood of the troops. There is a Teachers' lesson plan on WW1 propaganda that accompanies this content.
